Communications with Club Members will primarily be through the Club website and by email.
It is the responsibility of each Member to keep the Club advised of their current email and postal address. You can inform the club of any changes to your contact details by sending them to membership@newportboatclub.co.uk
At its meeting on 17th June, 2026 the Board accepted the recommendations of the Membership Working Group in full.
To facilitate implementation of the recommendations of the Joint Membership Working Group and allow associate members to attend the 2026 Annual General Meeting, the Board also agreed to amend Rule 10f and adding a further rule 10g. This will permit associate members to attend General Meetings but not vote. Present rules 10g & 10h will be re-numbered.

In accordance with the requirements of the Articles of Association of Newport Boat Club Limited, the rule change will be advertised for 7 days. This note will be circulated to full members and published on the Club noticeboard.
Subject to no objections being received in writing to the Company Secretary – cosec@newportboatclub.co.uk – the amended rule will become effective from Friday 3rd July. A further note will then be sent to Associate Members advising that they may attend the Annual General Meeting but not vote, subject to the rule becoming operational.
A motion to change this rule permanently will be tabled at the Annual General Meeting for member approval.
