New members are always welcome, and are asked to complete a Newport Boat Club membership form, which having been properly proposed and seconded by two current Club members should be submitted to the Club for approval. If you are unable to obtain a signature from your proposer and seconder the CAM will obtain verification from them by emailing them directly. Please see link to form below;

Once received Newport Boat Club will email you with instructions on how to set up your direct debit, to complete your payment. Please be sure to check your junk/spam folder for emails from Newport Boat Club.

Applications are normally presented to the Management Committee for ratification at the end of each month. However, 48 hours after submitting an application and setting up your smart club account and direct debit, applicants may start to use the Club facilities and bar. Your membership card will be ready for collection by yourself generally 2 working days following the set-up of your direct debit. Membership is not available on a pro-rata basis.

Communications with Members is by email so having given your email please be sure to update it when necessary.

Membership rates from 1st October 2024 will be as follows:

  • Young Adult member (18-25): £35+ £10 joining fee (If moving  from an existing family membership, the joining fee will be waived.
  • Full Member £68 + £10 joining fee.

Membership includes your spouse/civil partner and any 12- to 17-year-old children as non-voting Spouse and Junior members, respectively. This entitles them to use the Club facilities unaccompanied and without signing in. On reaching 18, children cease to be part of your Membership and should become a Young Adult Member. Children under 12 are only allowed in the Club when accompanied by, and under the control of a responsible Member – preferably not after 9pm.

It is the responsibility of the Member to keep the Club advised of their current email and postal address, you can inform the club of any changes to your contact details by sending them to membership@newportboatclub.co.uk and we will update these in the system. It is of paramount importance that we have an up-to-date email address on file for all Members in order to notify you of the new rates or any changes to membership as we will no longer be doing so by post.  Please use the link above to update your details with us.
